wingeing Pom 775 Report post Posted October 6, 2021 Last night's effort - another clear Moonless night. What's going on? This is 15 x 3-minute subs with the Hyperstar 4 & ASI2600MC-Pro camera on NGC7789 - the open cluster that thinks it is a globular. Very weird thing about this CMOS camera that I am having great difficulty in coming to terms with - THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ANY HOT PIXELS!!!! What gives? Are they taken out somehow on-chip??? timthelder 206 Report post Posted October 17, 2021 I did a quick read on the reviews of those cameras a while back. And that seemed to be the consensus, no amp glow, no darks, etc. Pretty amazing. Back in my day we had darks, flats, dark flats....Everyone is so spoiled these days!
