No deep-sky imaging here for a couple of weeks - at the moment we don't get ANY hours of darkness, only astronomical twilight from 11p.m. to 3 a.m.

Yep - no imaging in the UK for most of June and July.  I have imaged during those times and the quality is pretty poor.  So it's o.k. for keeping in practice - but you know you aren't going to get any decent images which is a bit of a pain.  Best you can do is some fish eye shots with the DSLR and any ISS passes.
