wingeing Pom 762 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 And yet another ISS image from last night - I couldn't work out why it was only going to be visible for 3-minutes when the earlier 9:04 crossing at almost the same elevation was a full 5-minutes. The picture below tells the story http://www.flickr.com/photos/12801949@N02/5652674085/ Greg
skyman 24 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 Great shot! It would be interesting to use the fish eye and some long exposures during the next meteor shower. Brent
wingeing Pom 762 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 Yep - already used this lens for that purpose - will do so again this summer. Actually caught a Lyrid a couple of days back while waiting for the ISS to come over. Greg
Mick 10 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 Nice work, you have some other nice photos there as well I like the ISS from the 25Th.:cool!: Have you got any Iridium photos?
wingeing Pom 762 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 Hi Mick, I have quite a few (unintentional) Iridium flare shots on my deep-sky images I clearly recall seeing my first one literally days after reading about them. If I hadn't just read the article I would have been really excited about a definite UFO sighting Greg
Mick 10 Report post Posted April 25, 2011 Hi Greg, Funny you say UFO, I've had quite a few friends ask me what the flashing lights in the sky are all were amazed they were in fact man made satellites. I haven't had a chance to take photos in the last couple of years as work and weather gets in the way. If your interested I have got some photos of satellites on my site from years past. :peace2: http://www.freewebs.com/estronomy/astroimages.htm http://www.freewebs.com/estronomy/moreastroimages.htm
