Tah Ray, that was at F10 with a C8. I now use a 4x powermate and this was off my C11... but alas no shuttle

  3. I think it's the Meade LX (?) or any mount running the meade LX software that can, and it's a sight to see. You punch in the coordinates and the mount sits there in ambush mode them wham! it's off after it.
  4. I can see my old house I built but my street is not in it yet. Google earth still has my address in the wrong place But atleast I can still see your car Amy
  5. Hi mate, I've always guided with the 66, the 140 I used for visual or imaging. At one stage I had the 66 ontop of the VC200L via an ADM bar and guide rings with the 140 sitting next to the VC like in the pic. That NA140 was a gorgeous visual scope and I didn't really want to part with it. But I bought a 16" Steve Swayze mirror off another forum so something had to go to pay for it
  6. Actually Ray I found the side by side not so much easier or harder to balance than when I had the 66 sitting on top, just different. I've got it down pat now with marks for each configeration so now I just plonk them on and line up the marks and away I go. If anything, side by side in use is probably a tad easier than on top
  7. will have to take a decent and updated pic. This is my VC200L on my G11 The NA140 beside it I recently sold and usually I use a Williams Optics 66 on a side by side plate as my guide scope. Currently I'm also building a 16" F5.5 Dob with a Steve Swayze mirror

These are pretty crappy pics but I'm posting them to give you an idea of the size of the shuttle. I have never imaged the Hubble and have no idea of its size, but these were taken of the ISS during mission STS 123 using a C8 and ToUcam. The bright spot is the Shuttle hanging off the side. So imaging the Hubble plus the Shuttle together while a challenge is certainly do-able and Matty P is still not allowed to enter!

  10. Goto mount control

as far as I know Cartes du Ciel does http://www.stargazing.net/astropc/#support
  11. A few missing roof tiles and no power for half the night but my house is still standing. I am so glad we had a huge gum cut down a couple of months ago as there is no way it would have survived last night. My next door neighbours caravan looks lovely sitting on its roof and I now have a garden shed I didn't own yesterday, it resemble the one that is now not in my neighbours yard 2 houses away.
  12. had big plans to until a big damn tree came down in the wind and took out the power lines. Power has just come back on but it fees like Christmas 74 in Darwin here. I just had to nail my cat down

sure can! I just used a ToUcam connected to my C11 or my C8 Dob will be fine as you just manually track it. The only problem I could see is being flexible enough to be able to keep it in view in your Telrad without snapping your neck. Maybe limber up with a few games of twister before hand !
