I have just bought the book "Atlas Of The Southern Sky" by Steve Massey and Steve Quirk and I think its a great book :pipethinker: . 288 pages of star charts and other info for the beginner I certainly think its worth the $45 I paid for it.:thumbsupmate:

That book is the southern version of "Turn Left at Orion" that the people in the northern hemisphere use so much.

Yep, 'Turn Left at Orion' is a brilliant book and ALWAYS recommended for beginners (and the more experienced as well!)

It does cover the Southern Hemisphere as well, so you should try it.
