Hi,
At long last the weather has improved enough that I can do some more work on the OctaDome - namely, line the inside of each petal with 3 mm thick foam. This comes in a big roll and is used to go under 'floating floors'. This part roll is what is left over from a job at home. The foam is welded to a sheet of very tough plastic, so easy to cut and handle.
There will be 4 x 12 mm U channel aluminium pieces riveted over the foam to act as stiffeners and to keep the foam in place. This is anti dew/condensation insulation.
