I took images through the eclipse but for now here is an image from near peak totality
--which in no way reflects the majesty and glory of this celestial event ..what a great show it was
the weather was fine, and it was nice to sit with friends in the backyard looking at the sky and sipping a beverage -no mosquitoes or other pests, just pleasant spring weather
the imaging was really incidental to the enjoyment of this fine sight

G'day Narayan,
Nice pic mate. Was there much light pollution where you were? I imagine you get quite a bit from Sydney.
What scope did you shoot this through?
Cheers

Hi Ray
oh there is plenty of light pollution around my backyard but what can you do?:pipethinker:
I shot the eclipse through my ED80 using an unmodified Canon 300D at prime focus

You wouldn't happen to own a paintball gun by any chance? :hmm:

LOL
I don't need a gun I need a paint cannon to manage LP in my neck of the woods
never tried the laser on street lights sensor trick though somedays I am sorely tempted..my neighbours security light has the nasty habit of turning itself on when aI am about 9 minutes into a 10 minute exposure LOL
