Pleasant conditions last night in the West for some observing/imaging, been a while since the gear has been out :eartoear: . With Jupiter at zenith I had to shot some AVI runs with the barlow after the diagonal so it could pass in between the LX200's forks. Prefer having just the barlow and ToUcam in the imaging train, seems to give sharper results although the image scale is a little less. Visually with a 12mm radian eyepiece Jup looked very sharp but a little soft with a 6mm, on the preview screen good detail could be seen regularly. Halfway through the shoot some patchy cloud passed over at a quick rate although no wind could be felt at ground level. In processing I couldn't go hard but happy to get some results after a long time out. I used a 3x barlow through the 10"LX/ToUcam with the settings at 15fps/shutter 1/25/brightness 30-40/gamma 10/gain 60-70.

Great work Beren. I'm hoping to be shooting this tonight from my backyard. I have a DSI here on loan.

What brand of barlow are you using?
I thought the LX 200 was sold, or have you a back-up one all along
