Spent this week up at Cable Beach in Broome. Was my first time there, and needless to say, was an amazing place.
First shot is of my outdoor shower. Showering underneath the Milky Way was a new one for me.

The sunsets at Cable Beach are amazing (took hundreds of these kinds of shots).

A quick thirty second exposure with my Sony Cybershot from the roof of my hire car. This was taken right outside my hotel. The skies here are still quite dark, would be a good place to do some astrophotography sometime.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Ray,
Lovely sunset shots.
I know what you mean by the dark skies though, that's what keeps attracting me back to Mt Magnet. I think that this time I should have gone further north - like Mt Augustus

Hey Ray
Some beautiful shots there, Looks like a nice dark spot.
Did you drive or fly there ray? Were those shots taken from your new camera you received at the awards?
Cheers Jason :pipethinker:

We flew there. 3 hours flying time. These shots were taken with my old camera. I took the new camera, but mainly used my old one because it has a wide angle lens on it and also I have more control over aperture and exposure times.
Broome's cable beach has a jellyfish problem between November and June. The beaches are usually closed during the wet season. Hard to beleive that such a little creature can cause so much damage.

Cheers Caveman, yeah I am to. I can never get sick of looking at our star.
Yeah Stu, there are crocs just North (15km's) of Broome. There is a Pearl Farm, and the river the oysters are in has two lovely crocs as security. It's a mangrove area so you can't see the banks of the river which means the crocs could be anywhere. I'll post some more pics soon.
