Hi All,

In my browse through the very extensive web site at IS, I saw this, which grabbed my attention, the lunar image link to Alan Friedman's site, is just breathtaking:

Blogged by Jonathan Maron in Sample Images on June 5, 2007 at 10:32 CET.

While reading the Catching the Light blog, I came across a link to a high resolution image captured by Alan Friedman that shows magnificent details of the lunar craters Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus, Arzachel and Davy.

To capture this image, Alan deployed The Imaging Source DMK 21BF04 FireWire camera, 10 Astro-Physics Maksutov-Cassegrain at F/30 (click for original):

Thank you Jonathan for adding this source.

Those moon shots are incredible. So much detail in the first one. It's amazing how far imaging has come. You'd be hard pressed to find such a good image taken from Earth's surface of the moon ten years ago.
