I was in my local astro shop when I saw a spotting scope bracket. A sudden wave of genuis came over me, and with a bit of modifying, I was able to turn this bracket into a camera bracket for my counterwieght bar.

I always have trouble finding room near my scope for long exposure widefield work, so being able to mount my widefield camera on the counterweight bar will make life easier, and also reduce the overall weight of my rig because I won't need to counter the weight of the widefield camera anymore (which means better tracking).

Cost was $75 (or there abouts).

Not yet Tony, I was going to setup my equipment tonight but it's cloudy :ahh!:

I'll take some pics as soon as I get it up and running (I can't wait). :thumbsupmate:

Yeah, let's see what it looks like in action Ray. And if it works as well as you planned.

I'll hopefully have this unit up and running on Monday night from bush somewhere. Needless to say they are going to be dozens of wdiefield shots. I'm doing some experiemtation whilst I'm up there to. I want to see how far I can push some of this equipment.
