Your Jupiter image is awesome. Is that a single exposure?
Cheers

No, as i mentioned, i did it with the webcam.
It is around 1300 frames, processed in registax and photoshop.
I ran the avi through registax again, trying to weed out some of the really bad frames (although with the atmosphere playing up, most were pretty bad :duh: )
And tried to tweek it a little more in photoshop.
Hope you think it looks a bit better.
Thanks for the comments :thumbsupmate:

You're not far from owning this thing Tony. You have the image capture side of things down pat. I reckon just tweak the image processing side of things and you'll be there.

Thanks Ray mate, i think it may be a case of luck rather than any sort of skill however
I posted this image on a uk imaging site and a fellow member was kind enough to have another tweek or two in wavelets (registax) and photoshop.

Really need to work on my processing:hmm:
It is a constant amazement to me just how much data is hiding in an image, waiting for someone to tease it out:duh:

Thanks for your excellent responses guys, you have given me the boost i need to keep working at the processing. :thumbsupmate:
I still need to build the crayford (as their is some serious image shift with a standard skywatcher rack and pinion job, coupled with my motorized unit).
Also a mount that can handle the weight :yesplease:
All the very best guys..........

HI Tony,
I know what you mean by a decent mount.
I was tempted to by the GOTO upgrade kit at BTOW at the last AGWA meeting. But decided that I would be better off buying the HEQ6Pro mount instead. So currently saving the money for that.

Hi Tony,
I took the liberty of having a little play with your image in Picasa2 (free) as that's all I have on my email PC. Just keep playing with the processing.
