I have been posting webcam images of jupiter for the last few nights and only now noticed the video and webcam section :duh: Sorry for posting in the wrong section guys, thanks for not slamming me :thumbsupmate:
Got the scope out early tonight and noticed the cresent moon near venus, so i thought what the hey.
Skywatcher 200mm with a x2 barlow and the toucam, 1000 frames but the atmosphere was boiling a bit, although i was fairly happy with the result.
Venus can be a right bugger as you all know and i have never used the webcam on this object before
Any hints appreciated as always.
Thanks for looking...........

Looks good Tony. You've captured the spherical shape well.

That is on of the best images that I have seen of Venus for a long time Tony. :thumbsupmate:

Venus is at it's best in the sky at the moment, can't wait to see it pair with Saturn on July 2nd. I'm now praying for good weather it has been cloudy for weeks here in Nth Qld.

hi tony

nice venus - always hard to image due to its lowish position in the sky.
i have made many attempts at venus with little success - i have included one from this month.
i am looking forward to the venus / saturn conjunction on the 2nd of next month - it is always great to see the planets get together - how close do they get?

see ya

Thanks for that very kind comment Mick, i have never had anyone say that about an image of mine. Cheers mate :thumbsupmate:
Matt, your image of Venus is a corker :cool!:
I think Venus is quite deceptive and harder to image than other planets, in that it is very bright and has no real detail to speak of (other than the phases of course ).
Thanks for taking the time to respond guys, even though i am a little late in my own response
Cheers.........
