Hi there Shevill :)

I've just had a really good look through your Picasa web photo library and I have to say that we are very similar in the projects we think about. I particularly like your Nikon D70 setup with the shutter release cable mod and the ZigviewR electronic viewfinder.

Can I ask firstly whether it might fit my D40 and secondly if the on-screen image is accurate in focus? Seems like a great idea as I was about to go and buy a right-angle magnifying eyepiece to slide on, but this seems better.

Are they worth the price in your opinion? I can see one on eBay, but that's the only place I've found one so far.

The brilliant part about this unit is that I can't see a reason why it wouldn't work on a film camera as well.

Cheers and thanks
Chris

If that device can be attached to a film camera, I would be very interested in it as well. I always find myself in the most uncomfortable positions to check my framing.

Shev?

What cameras do you use Ray? I know that on my Nikon F the viewfinder is a round screw-in type and so is my Nikon EL. This wouldn't work easily with them as I suppose it's designed to slide down over the more modern system of DSLRs' rectangular viewfinder. Funny thing is that my N50 film camera has the same-ish system as the D40.... so maybe that one will work (my least favourite camera of the bunch).

Cheers
Chris

I use a Nikon FM2, Pentax SP2 and an Olympus OM1 (all film cameras). I'll look into this a bit more and see. In the meantime, if you find anything out in relation to those cameras, let me know.

This sure would make my life easier.

Cheers
