nice little travel scope

A fellow member of a uk based forum posted this link yesterday and it was so extreme, i thought you should all see it (the link that is, unfortunately no pics of the scope).

Its all in german, but you can still see the numbers involved:duh:
530mm diameter triplet APO.
6500mm focal length.
f/12.2
257,500 € for the ota
550,000€ with a goto mount

That equates to;
$423,173 ota and
$903,864 with goto

What a crazy scope. As soon as I saw the "530mm diameter triplet APO", my eyes popped out of my head. And then came the focal length

"6500mm focal length".:cool!:

I can't believe how expensive this telescope is. How can glass become so expensive? You wouldn't think that a telescope which isn't really that big, could be so expensive. :duh:
