It's 4.35 a.m, and I just got back from a place called Golden Grove, Chittering.
Was all geared up to do some deep field work, but just as I was getting happy with my alignment, the wind started coming in. I did a 5 minute exposure of Sirius, then 5 minutes on Orion, but as far as long exposures, it didn't happen. The 5 minute one of Orion I will be using to stack with another shot of Orion I took last month. But I decided to can the deep field work and do some widefield work because of the tolerance difference.
I think I did okay with the widefield work, but we'll (i) will have to wait and see. It's been a while since I did some piggyback widefield work, so I'm looking forward to seeing the results. :pipethinker:

That's the problem with using film - having to wait for them to get developed. I have very little patience.

Yeah I have been to that place many times. They are quite knowledgeble with photography. I was in there about 6 months ago talking to one of the guys, and I mentioned the words "forty five minute exposure" and one of the young guys sitting behind the counter quickly sits up and says "forty five minute exposure?!", lol.
As far as films go, I use a wide range. From Superia to Kodak Elite Chrome. You can buy Provia 400F from Camera Electronic. Provia is a good film for blues and reds. It is a good all rounder. Kodak Elite Chrome can be too red sometimes but is still a good film.
As far as processing goes, Halse in East Perth, Fitzgerald Photo labs on Fitzgerald Street North Perth or Churchills in West Leederville all take good care of your film and follow instructions. I have been to other pro photo labs in Perth and will not even bother mentioning them.
Where abouts are you situated Beren?
