Hello all

I have been working on a Solar System project for some time and have an update.
The planetary images were taken with my LX90 and LPI (Moon is a mosaic, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn were with a 2 x barlow, Uranus and Neptune were at prime focus), while the Sun image was taken with my new Solarmax 40 and LPI - I have a long way to go with solar imaging!
I am quite pleased with all of them (except Mars) and enjoyed Uranus and Neptune as I live under very light skies in Brisbane.

I hope you enjoy.

Welldone Matt :welldone:

You must be getting some nice detail out of that new solar max.

Very original with your Solar System project.

Hi Matt,

what a great image. :welldone:

I hope you blow it up to poster size and hang it somewhere prominent in your home.

Cheers Colin

Gidday Matt

Great looking images and I like the way you've put them all together. Good work!

Awesome images mate. Does that Meade camera require filters for those shots?

Thanks all - it has been a great project...it will never end as I hope to always take better shots in the future!

Hey Radar, the LPI (Lunar planetary imager) does not require any filters - it is just a matter of playing with telescope focus, exposure, gain, offset and other bits and pieces on the computer screen - it is a very easy imager to use.

Here is a link with some info.

See you all
