Hi All,

NASA Science News for May 1, 2007

NASA has released stunning new images of Jupiter and its moons taken by the New Horizons spacecraft. Highlights include a movie of a volcanic eruption on Jupiter's moon Io; a nighttime shot of auroras and lava on Io; a color photo of the "Little Red Spot" churning in Jupiter's cloud tops; images of small moons herding dust and boulders through Jupiter's faint rings. The gallery featured in today's story is a must-see.

Couldn't see the video anywhere, but that image of Jupiter's little red spot is amazing! New Horizon's has taken 34 gigabytes of photo's whilst passing Jupiter. Pretty impressive mission so far.

Thanks for posting Shev.

It would be realy cool if they put some of that un-processed, Raw image data on the net, so we could all download it and have a go at processing them ourselves.
With very experienced image processing gurus like Noel, Tom and Greg around, i bet they could give even the NASA guys a run for their money:yesplease:
