After checking out a basic online tutorial that didn't quite find my problem, I ended up finding it when I put it all back together.
So, I thought I would create my own tutorial, to help out others with similar problems.

Hi Baz,
Very nice tutorial on how to fix a fairly common problem. Often users take this step when the gear wheel is too worn and needs replacing. Once the teeth are worn, good tracking is very difficult and PE (periodic error) is very pronounced.
At the high focal ratio of f/10, even the slightest wear shows up on a long exposure image.
Thanks for sharing with the members.

Thanks Shevill,
Thanks to the fact that I have hardly used the scope in EQ, this wear has been minimized.
Because I noticed that it did the slipping only in EQ and I was mainly observing in ALT-AZ then only a few teeth have a slight half-moon shaped curve cut in the tips of them.
The rest of the affected teeth are still square and have clean edges. I was lucky I found it before I persisted in EQ photography, now that I have a capable camera.:pipethinker:
