A collaborative image from photons captured by my buddy Greg Parker and processed by me. This is from many, many hours of exposure through 2 different telescopes and with 2 different cameras. Scopes: Celestron C11 with Hyperstar setup, Takahashi Sky-90. Cameras: Starlight Xpress SXVF-M25C and SXV-H9C, then many, many more hours of digital processing in Photoshop on my Dell workstation.

Click on the image to see a high resolution version at a convenient desktop background size. :)

This image is currently going into several books: The new edition of Brian May's "Bang! The Complete History of the Universe" and our own "Starscapes" astro imagery book.

This has got to be one of our best images Noel :)
I intend to get another 20 hours or so this Autumn - weather permitting, then we might even start seeing the full extent of this one.
Thank you for the nice feedback guys.

Greg and Noel, that is a beautiful shot of Andromeda. The work you do deserves all the accolades sent your way.

Mind you, you will probably exhaust the dictionary's supply of superlatives if you keep it up! But keep it up anyway! Please!
