Well things where going great , scope focused well ,clear skies after rain, set up taking a RGB image of the Southern Pinwheel.
Got the red filter in place , start taking 30sec exposures and stacking then it stops adding exposures after 17 stacks ...hmmm. bugger cloud came over.
Well get the rest tomorrow night i spose.
Anyway got the better of me so i processed the red component to se what i got so far ,,,and here it is.
By the way radar , Shevill , sending this wireless from the observatory right now!!!!

Be over in 20 minutes Pat. :thumbsupmate:

Nice detail in the spiral arms. I take it you are using the stl11000 for this shot?

That's pretty good for just red. Be interesting to see how far you can push this camera. Looking forward to the other two colours being added.

Looking very good so far hp. No doubt you're looking forward to the end result. BTW, have you decided on a name for your observatory yet? I like 'The Tardis' too.
