Hi Patrick,

The name that flashed into my mind as I looked at the images was "Beehive" don't ask me why, maybe the square base section and offset dome!

Will post some pics of progress on the "OctaDome" in a couple of days. The wall frames are up and the floor bearers are in. Timber for the frames is Celery Top Pine, a Tasmanian specialty timber, this is recycled from a building that went up pre-war and has recently been demolished. Put through a planer and its superb.

Hi Patrick,

Good one, I go along with your choice. At the moment "Beehive" suits my new one with all the effort going into it while we have dry weather!

Enjoy,

Hi Patrick,

It could have been worse. They may have come up with names like the "Doghouse Observatory", for those times when domestic issues places you in the "Doghouse". Or even the "Shed Observatory" but some how your little home away from home just doens cut it as a shed.

Cheers Colin
