Here's a couple of seldom imaged southern globulars that I managed to finish off in the last few days thanks to improved weather.
Cheers

Lovely globs, lovely colours mate. I'm now seeing all these objects through my C14. Can't wait to start shooting them.

Hiya Steve,
Both are excellent captures! What amazes me about your images is the amount of background stars...
Heck, I do good to get the foreground stars!

Hiya Steve,
What amazes me about your images is the amount of background stars...
Heck with that amount of stars i thought for a moment the whole damned frame was the globular. :duh:
Awesome stuff.

Thanks guys. It's all about exposure time and personally I'm a more the better advocate. You also have to be careful not to clip the background and thus lose a lot of the background stars.

Hi
Despite the moon being almost full and in the sky all night I just had to make the most of the clear sky so I thought I would do a reshoot of M3 which I tried last year, this was taken with the FSQ106Ed and H9 with 16x5 minutes each for RGB and 6x5 minutes for Luminance (ran out of time), had to use gradient xterminator to reduce the light pollution gradient from the moon and artificial lights. The previous image can be seen on the star clusters page of the image gallery on my website http://www.imagingtheheavens.co.uk
Thanks for looking
Best wishes
Gordon

Nice job mate. Very good image scale. For some reason it looks like a film shot. It has a film feel.

Film feel? Say that five times quick.
