I'm just wondering if anyone here makes a practice of going out to look for Iridium Flares any time of year? I've been observing IFs for years, and collected about 60 of them. It's great fun to be at an outdoor party, checking your watch from time to time, and shout, "Look! Look!" and point to a flare just as it lights up. It's a good conversation starter.
I also watch for other satellites, but my skies aren't conducive to a lot of faint satellites.
