Hi all,
Rising in the East on Feb. 15, 2010, M44 (the Bee Hive Cluster), smack dab in the center of Cancer, was high enough to image at around 10pm CST.
Equipment:
StellarVue 102ED with W.O. .8fr, (giving approx. 89x134 arcmin. FOV), side by side with guide scope Orion ED80 on Orion Atlas Mount.
Hutech 1a Canon 400d with IDAS LPS2 light pollution filter. 10x3min. exposures stacked in iris with darks/flats/bias frames.
Mount aligned with EQMOD program via “The Sky 6”
Autoguided with Meade DSI Pro I, PHD/EQMOD-DIR.
Processing:
PhotoShop CS2:
“Shadow/Highlight” (default)
Noels Actions:
“Space Noise Reduction”, “Contrast Enhance”.
