Hello
I currently have AVG Internet Security installed on my computer. V. 8.0.200 I have noticed no matter if I allow both my Network adapters permission to access the Internet, or certain programs, the firewall seems to want to block every source of getting on the Internet. The only way I can surf the web is if I disable the firewall.
Please anyone have any answers?

Does the AVG version have the firewall?? if so, you need to make sure you turn the Microsoft firewall off, just a thought!!
Failing that you will have to program the exceptions into the firewall , or use a less agressive firewall setting.
Dont know much about AVG so i might not be to much help mate sorry...
Cheers

I had a similar problem with AVG some time ago (about 1 year ago), I couldn't seem to resolve the issue so changed to Trend Micro Internet Security Pro and have had no probs since. I know Trend isn't free but for $120 to licence 3 computers I have been very happy with it. It also doesn't seem to be processor hungry either.

If I am not mistaken, AVG is an anti-virus not a firewall.I would like to recommend you Online Armor for a good free firewall and AntiVir for a good free anti-virus.Make sure you delete the AVG totally first before installing AntiVir and Online Armor.I think this will help you out.

Did you make a profile when you first set-up avg?
i used the Computer in domain setting and dont even have a problem with it blocking my internet surfing (unless i havent given a certain program permissions it will pop-up then i just allow)
also did you check the box below the allow button to dont ask me again? or make this decesion everytime i run this program?
