Thought i'd post an image of the moon that i took on 22nd feb this year.
It was a single shot taken through my canon with the skywatcher, 1/125th sec @ISO 800.
Thank for looking:Chessy_Smile:

Thanks Tom, i was lucky, the detail was quite sharp straight from the camera, but i did a very light unsharp mask in photoshop, to bring out a little more crater definition.
Also (just for aesthetics) i turned the image 90 degrees counter clockwise.
Sorry, next time i post i will give any processing details.
All the best..........

So Tony, I take it with a DSLR you focus by using the LCD screen? If so that sure takes the work out of focusing normally.

Unfortunately the 300d does not focus this way, the Canon 20Da had an on screen focus function, apparently.
It also had a mirror lock as well, but this was a very expensive camera and i think this lead to the short production run of this model.
I have to just focus the same way you do mate, oh bugger, i forgot to say, i used a x2 barlow for this shot (sorry about that).
Doesn't make focusing any easier though.
