So pretty much i was driving home from the gym and i took a look out side the window, and realized that EVERYTHING that we interact with comes from the earth. Which made me realize that the human race is really primitive! A civilization that is millions of years old would have probably left their planet, or reformed it to fit their needs. which im sure is kind of common sense when you think about the age of the cosmos, but i like to think about it anyways.
But I'm sure alot of factors would come into play when talking about things like the technology of a much more intelligent civilization.
Things we take for granted like legs, sight, communication. The satellite voyager had a plaque on it with an engraving of the position of planet Earth from the sun, what humans look like, ect. Some people argued "what if the beings dont see in visible light?" and others argued "the engraving would still be clear in any other frequency that they might see in." What if they dont see at all? Maybe they have some sense that we cant even comprehend.

but yea. i just ranted.

well dolphins pretty much use sonar to see. and bats do as well. nature has proved time and again that life can use any sense imaginable.

Let's just hope that any other civilization that "reads" or "scans" the information on Voyager doesn't mis-read it as a menu or cook book!
There are a few people who fear we may have "posted on an unsecured web site."
Let's hope not!
