Well all credit goes to Ricci who posted links to his site here.

I went browsing through the software links on his site and found a link to Planetarium software for mobile phones.
Works like a Charm on my Nokia N95.
Im so happy with it, put in your position in the setup , and you have a full 3d star chart you can move left/right up/down and zoom in.
Get info on the planets,Mes catalogue and ngc objects.
BRILLIANT.
It updates positions constantly too!!
http://sourceforge.net/dbimage.php?id=85054

Heres the info page for the software
http://sourceforge.net/project/screenshots.php?group_id=175245

So anyone who has a compatible phone that can run Jar files (most phones can) , try it out .

heres the direct link for the software, now when you un-rar it....
I used the normal version and installed the Midp2 version on my Nokia N95.

Thanks for the heads up Pat. I've been looking at his site. It is pretty comprehensive, didn't notice the mobile phone stuff though. I'll d.l it now and see how it goes.

Thanks Ricci!

I'm running Sideralis Planetarium software on my motorola V9.

I couldn't get that other program working. I've never really uploaded programs to my phone before, but it was quite simple and quite handy to do. Now I've done it once I'll probably be loading all kinds of stuff onto it. It's good having a planetarium on your phone.

If anyone succeeds with one, let me know...
