Attiyah's Colors of the Sun

- From the perspective of the Earth-stationed observers, the solar disk forms a far glowing background for the auroral corona of the daytime auroras that are occurring continuously in the ionosphere.

- From the perspective of the Earth-stationed observers, the color of the sun's streamers changes in accordance with the variation of the daytime auroras in the overlying ionosphere.

- The white glare that is usually seen during the daytime immediately around the Sun is due to the whiteness formed by the blending of the colors of the daytime green auroras, blue auroras, and red auroras that all are always occurring globally in the ionospheric D-layer, E- layer and F-layer, respectively.

- In general, at the time of the twilight, the green auroras in D-layer, and the blue ones in E-layer, are both relatively weak giving the way to the red auroras from the F-layer to prevail. Consequently, the auroral corona is predominantly red. Therefore, the solar disk seems red.
