I'm selling this item because I'm using my G11 instead of the Meade fork mount these days.
It's a basic counterweight system that screws into the bottom of a Meade 8 inch SCT telescope.
The weights slide up and down the bar, or can come off completely. This system is good for those of you that stack your scope with heavy astrophotography equipment.
A balanced scope is a happy (accurate) scope.. Tracking and guiding is much smoother when things are balanced properly.

I've put larger screws on the weights because it was easier to manipulate them at night time.
How does $80 sound?
