Hi all,

Only managed an hour outside the other night and even then it was very windy which caused me problems with focusing but i did manage to get something half decent from it all....Taken with my Celestron 4se @F13, Toucam proII @10fps. Stitched 6 images all in all of around 500 frames each in i-merge, then adjusted the curves in Gimp2.4.

Hi Legs,

That's a pretty big chunk o' Moon there, @ 10fps, with a wind a blowin, it turned out pretty good.:thumbsupmate:

I just wonder...how many times, does one get, to image under ideal conditions?

Cheers:smile:

G'day Little Legs,

Yeah that's a pretty good effort. 6 different images, and wind. I'll have to learn how to stitch images together me thinks.

What kind of temperatures were you shooting in?

Thanks Tim/Ray,

The last week here has been horrid weather wise, rain, rain, storms, wind and more rain! It did get to the point where i had to give up in the end as the image was jumping around the screen so much K3CCD tools was dropping too many frames, plus the cloud came rolling in.
Tim- i tend to use 10fps as i find i get a better image at the end. When i 1st started i was doing 20 or 30fps and not always getting good results and then someone recommended that i try 10 and i found it a lot better quality wise.
Ray- it wasn't cold being it's suppose to be summer here(yeah right!), it was around 12/13. You should try stitching Ray, it's not as hard as it looks. I use a program called i-merge, very easy to use i'll add the link for you. But be warned once you start it's very addictive! Now when i start taking avi's i have to try and get enough in case i fancy making a mosaic
