I have an Acer TravelMate 341T laptop and need a CDROM/Floppy drive combo for it. It is an external combo. Without it I cannot reinstall Windows if/when it crashes. I have tried all the usual suspects eBay and Acer but havent had any luck, however, Acer sent me an email saying that they are out of production. Anyone have one they want to sell?

I did have one offer awhile ago but she wanted $350 for the drive combo, the price of a cheap 2nd hand laptop.

Hi,
you might get by with a USB CDROM drive, if you have a spare port.
Should be able to boot to it if needs be.
You may even be able to use a USB memory stick if you have access to another machine to clone your OS.

I have a USB drive but the BIOS wont support boot from usb device its an old lappie.
