Incredibly this probe has been "up and running" for over 17 years, although now reaching the end of its life.

Cheers John. I think all spacercaft that have made the journey to the edge of our solar system are amazing. The pioneer probes are also right out there.

Not sure why Ulysses doesn't get much attention because it should.

This one is called "Gravity Probe B".....oddly no NASA acronyms here....perhaps thats why it never gets any media attention.
It is up there busy proving, once and for all, that Newton and Einstein were correct all along....so no surprise there :bow:
It uses exquisite and ground breaking Gyroscope technology (but then I would say that :biggrin:)

Some of the info' is a little 'heavy' but will appeal to Uncle Albert devotees.

these craft are amazing. still working in those super cold temperatures. the engineers sure knew what they were doing.

Interesting, I never knew that. Pretty amazing that these machines are still going actually.
