I can't find a place for this thread so if this is in the wrong place - excuse me.

I have been looking for a free blank log book page that you can take out to the scope and just fill in. I am aware that there are software logbooks out there, but I'm just a simple visual observer who doesn't want to fuss too much. A downloadable PDF file (A5) would be ideal.

What do other people use?

I use an accounting book. It's got all the lines horizontal and vertical, makes for great record keeping. Haven't seen anything online like this. Would be a good idea though.

I am very slack. When imaging, I just scribble notes on plain paper. Later on I lose them, and end up finding one from a week before

I need a system

Hi Rod, I made my own log using the a program on my pc. Created rows, columns and typed in the log guidelines, i.e. Constellation, ngc/ic, M#, description, magification, eyepiece I was using, etc. Works as good as any I could have purchased.

I think "Sky at Night" had a log book for observation on one of their CD's. You might find it on their website if no I will see if I can find the cd it's on and post here.

Sorry I have found the log forms but they are only for Venus Mars and Jupiter.
