View Full Version : Waxing crescent Moon

I took these images a few minutes (2% illuminated Moon) ago from my patio with a tripod mounted Canon 350D using a 300mm zoom lens, 1.5 seconds exposure. The second shot the grey cloud had moved away.

I took this shot 05-12-06, as a full Moon was rising and illuminating the smoke filled sky, which was caused by a big bushfire a few km away. The fire season started back in October - much too early!

Beautiful shots mate. They would be good framed and hung somewhere.

I have many of my astro shots hung around my house (much to my girlfriends disgust). :Chessy_Smile:

That bushfire shot looks great Shev. I thought it was the sun behind the fog at first.

not bad like the first one. I took these just before christmas, dawn and evening shots within 4 days of each other. they were taken at fingal bay NSW for the morning shot and Shoal bay for the evening one
