I had a good night of seeing and got a few shots of the Moon that turned out really well(for my expertise.)
I have learned to no longer shout at the Moon, when it is high in the sky, but rather to embrace it....and take as many pic's of the bright bugger as I can.
1899
This is through the 100ED, with a .5x reducer on the nose of the DMK. Framed as best I could, I couldn't back off far enough to get a 'proper' shot, but I was really wanting to use the 100. I think a .8x reducer might frame it the way I would like to capture it.
1900
This is using a 5x powermate, w/the 100, (a real good nite of seeing.)
This is a partial shot of 'Montes Apenninus'(named after the Mts. in Italy.)
Crater's respectively, by size.
Conon, (22km.), Aratus, (10.6km.) and Galen, (10km.)
Scaling this image, it is approximately 176km,(109mi.) diagonally, corner to corner.
