Two nights in a row :woot: That's it though, another week of thunderstoms starting tonight...

This one does fairly well. More to come in this thread also. Actually, I was lucky to get this one to process out. About 850 frames in, it gives a really good 'shake', I was like WTF? Then I remembered, that was when a little beagle hound came by and his tail whopped the tri-pod leg, LOL.

Started with 1053 frames @60fps, image quality parameter's processed/stacked 147 frames in Registax V4. Reformatted in PS3. BTW, registax is one kick-butt program.

This one is of the Plato crater area. 60fps, 207 frames stacked out of 1139, processed in RV4, reformatted in PS3. I processed this one a little harder, maybe just a tad too much.

Hello again Tim

Getting better each time! Nice images.

I noticed on your images that you can see the segments lines of the stacksize. I also see these when I process multipoint alignment in Registax 4. I am sure there is a way to reduce these but in the meantime I use the default (single) alignment function and the segment lines do not appear. Give it a go and see what results you get.

Keep posting

I did per your suggestion and single point alignment works wonderfully. On these shots I can't see a noticeable difference.

Thanks Matt.

Now, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter........

Great shots Tim, some good detail there :woot: :woot:

Can i ask why are you taking them at 60fps? I find the lower the better! With the Moon i tend to stick with either 15 or 20 fps. As to Registax4, i love it:smile:
I do use multi alignment but i pick my own not what it wants, lol. Also i un tick LRGB, alignment box size i use is 64, best frames 80% and processing area 1024. I find with my Toucam these give better results.

Hi legs, when I was getting these shots, the sky was beautifully clear...BUT the atmosphere was moving around like crazy, Jet Stream possibly, or I'm debating wether or not my dewzapper on the end of the SCT is genereating just enough warmth to cause me some grief...I chose 60fps to freeze the seeing as much as possible to get decent images.30fps(I shot several avi's at this setting too.)Didn't give as much detail. Too much movement.
