Taken on the 2nd of March.
Camera - Gstar Ex
Scope - E-R 80 refractor on the Ioptron Cube.
70 frames at 128x Senseup. Stacked in DeepSkyStacker and post processing in PaintShopPro.
I put the final image through "Loreal" to remove some of the black haloes from around the stars.

Interesting little camera that. I didn't realise it could do deep space work. When you say 128x, what does this mean?
Cheers

Yes it is. I hope one day to buy the EQ upgrade. So I'm fighting an uphill battle with field rotation. But if I keep the objects in the centre of the FOV I can crop the image.
After years of trying to image without tracking I reckon any tracking is better than no tracking.

I copied this from http://www.myastroshop.com.au/guides/gstar/index.htm
It explains it so much better than I can
GSTAR-EX is a highly light sensitive video camera imaging system that offers the benefits of both high-speed image capture and a special video frame accumulation mode. In SENSE UP mode normal exposures are internally co-added in the cameras onboard memory refreshing the image on your PC or T.V monitor every 2.56 seconds at maximum integration. The slower the integration time set, the quicker the screen refreshes.
Image Sensor: 1/2 inch Sony ExView HAD CCD (795(H) x 596(V) pixels)
Sensor Pixels 8.6um(H) x (8.3um(V)
Resolution: Hi-res 600TVL (better than SVHS)
Capture Size: 768 x 576 pixels (max frame capture size - depends on video capture card used)
Standard: CCIR or EIA - Monochrome (Black and White)
Sensitivity: 0.0001 LUX
Shutter Speeds: 1/50 or 1/60 sec to 1/12,000 second (16 steps) - Automatic and Manual control
Integration Mode: Deep Sky Mode - X2 to X128 (max integration) (11 steps)
Signal Gain AGC Automatic and Manual control

well done again with minimal equipment
and to think only a few years ago the horsehead belonged to those with large apertures (and deep pockets)

Here's the blurb. Translated from French. The catch phrase at the end sounds familiar.

Our small webcams don't have anymore to prove, they give more that one was able in to hope. Unfortunately the Vesta Pro and the Toucam tend to decorate the stars of rings commonly named the eyes of hake or Van Gogh's ear. These artifacts are especially ungainly and difficult to make disappear at the time of a classic treatment.
This small program intends to restore somewhat the picture and to attenuate the effects of these famous black eyes while identifying the responsible pixels and while replacing them by artifacts of better complexion as preserving to best other parts of the image.
LOREAL, our pictures are worth it !
