Hi All,

Took a couple pics of Comet McNaught last week, near the coast here in Perth.

The lights in the foreground are Rottnest Island which is about 13 kilomtres from the mainland. The light almost directly under the comet is the lighthouse, managed to time it well.

Images were taken with a Penatx K100D with 18-75mm Sigma lens set to infinity, handheld i.e. no tripod.

Enjoy the images.

Hey Paso, welcome to the site mate, great work on McNaught. I cannot get sick of this comet. Love seeing images of it with a foreground. Really puts it in perspective. :thumbsupmate:

People in the future will not beleive that this comet was so prominent.

Those are very nice pictures! You all down under got a great view of McNaught! I was only able to get one picture of it here in Florida. Through my Coronardo PST using a Canon 35mm camera and telextender.
