Hi all
Well, for the first time in a long time I was able to get out and scope. The conditions were so so but I gave my newish imaging source camera it's first run.
I had no expectations due to the learning curve of a new toy but my experience on the LPI really helped.
The most pleasing part was it was the first time I imaged Rimae Hyginus and Ariadaeus. The image was at prime focus through my 8" LX90 - the camera DMK21 usb model - I used Registax4 to stack and tweak a little. Not the best by 99% but I am a happy camper none the less.
I then got adventurous and tried my 2.5 Power mate - but the poor conditions, the low position of the Moon and incoming clouds spoilt my attempts. I will play later to see if there was any half decent captures.
I am a fan of AVIing!
See ya
Matt

don't know a thing about these cameras, but that's a great shot, and even better for first light mate.

A great first light Matt, well done.

The image looks a little bit over exposed at the top left.

Could you please post the exposure details that you used.

Thanks for your comments all.

Hey Matt I did not document any exposures used. I had planned to have a much longer session but the clouds moved in before the Moon set.

Next time I will take notes as others like your good self can help me out.

See ya
