Getting out there with the film camera has been quite the learning experience.

Lesson 1: Astrophotos from your back yard make for washed out exposures.
Lesson 2: Overexposing Auroras makes the image out to be midnoon not midnight. (Exposed for 2-15 mins)
Lesson 3: Take the damn skylight filter off the lense.

Here is one of very few that have turned out.

Minolta 201
70-200mm lens zoomed out
3.8f
200 ISO Kodak Gold (yes still waiting for my slide film)
1/8 exposure

Photo taken approximately @ 7:50pm (accounting for daylight saving time)

Beautiful colours Saj. I learnt all those film lessons many times over. :frown:

I still love the feel of film.

Hi Saj, you've got some beautiful views, without even getting the scope out.

Hi Saj, you've got some beautiful views, without even getting the scope out.

Thanks. Last night was the first time i got the scope out with my camera to "shoot for the moon" so to speak. It was a beautiful crescent, and at the last moment i decided to take the scope out to the outskirts of town. I will post an image later this evening of one of those pics.
