Hi all!
I'm Andy, I live the UK (in a lovely place called Bewdley) and I'm a computer programmer / game designer. I've always been extremely interested in astronomy and after downloading Stellarium (which is awesome) I wondered if it was possible to create a similar app in Flash as a pet project :-

It's in it's very early stages and I'm looking for feedback!
At the moment, it only displays star and planetary positions. It also shows the position of the moon, however my calculations are a bit 'off' so it's not being placed in it's correct position! Stars and planets should be fairly accurate too.
There are a few known problems :-
Incorrect lunar position
Search box inactive when in full screen mode
Menu sometimes invisible after a screen drag
General tidy up
... I'm going to address these issues over the weekend. Future updates that I'm working on are :-
Deep sky objects / Messiers
Bigger location selection map
Cookie to remember your latitude / longitude.
So, please take a look and let me know what you think and feel free to send me suggestions - I'm looking to make this one of the best online astronomy apps available!
