This is interesting. Not sure what their calculations are, but if they are right, point your scopes and start searching, you could be the one to find it, and if you do find it, you could name it after me.:biggrin:

So-called "Planet X" is shown. The planet -- half the size of Earth -- is believed to be in the outer reaches of the solar system. Researchers at Kobe University have said that their theoretical calculations using computer simulations lead them to conclude it was only a matter of time before the long-awaited "Planet X" was found.

i don't think it will fair well for astronomy if we go back up to nine planets again. the average person already has difficulty remembering the names of five planets, let alone 9. be difficult to find as well.

i believe that there are more planets in our solar system. im not sure though.
but if i had an observitory thats the first thing id be lookin for.

(as well as aliens of couse :biggrin: )

I think the law of averages allows speculation for large objects orbiting in the Kuiper belt. But since they are not radiating energy, and observing them relies on reflected light, I think it is 'literally' a shot in the dark that radar will find any.
