They are going to start commissioning in May, personally I can't wait for the new discoveries on exotic particles etc, we could be living in a period of massive steps forward in quantum theories......exciting stuff !!

Nothing like a good dose of particle physics to get those neurons pumping,,,,um, I mean firing. :biggrin:
The LHC is going to blow any other atom smasher out of the water,, or um,,,dimension. :biggrin:
But seriously, I've followed Cern for sometime now. Imax did some amazing doco's on Cern through their String Theory documentaries. The LHC could really open up a new world of science for humans.

i must admit, i know nothing about this stuff, but i have just been watching some stuff on youtube about it, and it's like WOW! that is some serious physics.
