These two maps show McNaught on the 23rd of January and the 30th of January respectively.
McNaught is moving upwards and to the left (South) at a steady pace. It will be easy to locate this Comet over the coming weeks because of this easy to follow path.

Thanks, Radar.
We actually need cloud free skies, still bogged in down here in Hobart but they have clear skies up north.
The increasing brightness from the Moon will soon be a killer for the comet tail and the latest report is that it will be certainly past its best by the time we get Moonless skies again.
I might well have to take a trip up to the midlands to get a better sky. I have just had a call from a fellow up at Conara Junction (Tassie), he phoned the university for info on the comet and they gave him my phone number!!.
He is in dark country skies and he will give me a call if the weather looks promising, so a useful phone call both ways. I have been swamped with calls since my radio interviews!
Clear skies...

Hey Del, this map is generated for tonight. I'll keep posting new ones every couple of days. McNaught has green writing to identify it easier. You'll notice that it is the same altitude as Veus, maybe a touch higher, about the same distance from the sun on the left. Shouldn't be to difficult to find.
