I think this is possibly my best image of Saturn. The seeing was better than yesterday but the Full Moon was drowning out most of Saturn’s detail.
Banding on the planet and the Cassini Division are clearly visible.
Details:
Celestron 8SE SCT f/20 – 4000mm
DMK 21AU04.AS + 2x Barlow
Processed with R4
Stack Size: 600/1800
Thanks for looking.

You are most certainly there Matt. These are the best planetary images I've ever seen from an eight inch telescope. That camera is awesome, I can't wait to get one  .
Have you got filters and FW coming for it yet?
Seeing your work from when you first bought the camera to now is inspiring. Keep em coming mate, it makes me wanna do planetary work.

Thanks Ray,
I haven't got around to ordering the FW and filters yet. :frown: I hope to very soon.
I am also hoping to get 3x Barlow for a larger image scale. Can't wait for Jupiter. :woot:

I actually captured a one of Saturn's moons. I put it through PS to make the moon a bit brighter.

Superb image Matty, especially the one with the Moon.
I'm yet to try Saturn. Not quite high enough from my viewing location, houses and trees in the way until late(don't get the luxury of LATE night viewing with kids:rolleyes: ).

Thanks guys,
My C8 and the DMK seem to get along really well together.
I just need a bigger image scale!
