The clouds finally cleared up enough last night for me to take a few AVI's.

Saturn was up so I decided to set up the DMK and the lappy. The seeing was OK for some imaging but definately not the best. The Moon was full drowning out most of the night sky but I am extremely happy with the final results.

A LARGER image scale would be nice but I can't complain.

Details:

Celestron 8SE SCT f/20 - 4000mm
DMK 21AU04.AS + 2x Barlow
Processed with R4

What do you think?

Nice work Matt. You must be getting a real buzz out of this.

What kind of things do you look for to judge how good the seeing is? Only thing I look for is scintilation. What else do you look for?

Cheers

You bet ya. :woot:

I really just look at the live view of the planet through lappy screen and judge it from there. It is really just a estimate.

Have a look at ths website.
