Okay so it wasn't imaged with a Nokia phone, it is Hayley's Comet imaged by NASA, but at least I managed to get you in here to check out my latest cybershot image.

This image was taken with a Sony Cybershot camera as I was coming back from doing some shopping. Didn't expect to see the comet, so this was just a spare of the moment thing.

OK, OK, but I would not be surprised to see a mobile phone comet pic, given the quality and size they are now coming out with.

Nice work Ray, rained here again last night so had no chance of a look. Looks better for this arvo though. :welldone:

Now there's a thought. I mean after all web cams are used for astrophotography, and the new Sony Erricson & Nokia phones have 2+megapixels cameras. I wonder if anyone has tried.

For a spur of the moment shot, that's pretty good Radar.

In a magazine somewhere I have seen a photo taken with a mobile phone camera through the eyepiece. Can't remember what it was of or where it was. Would need to go through my growing stack of astronomy mags to find it. Think it was about three months ago. Photo looked pretty good considering.

Have a look in a recent Sky and Space magazine Page 38 Jan/Feb Hi Res Lunar Imaging, there is a Moon shot taken with a Nokia mobile phone, afocal through a scope - slotted in near the end of the article (it has nothing to do with the article).
