Does anyone know how to add emoticions/smilies to Google mail using IE7, not Firefox.

Yup Ray that works bu its a faf..........I was hoping for something I could add to the compose page or drop down like Lespell which is just a 'click' to add to the text........like here for instance.

Never used gmail before. what is the advantage / disadvantage?

It's quick clean and has no ads, I keep it for serious stuff. For everything else I use Yahoo out of habit I guess.
